Scott Transformers (Dry-Type Transformers), Large Capacity TBS Series

Scott connection transformer JEC-2200/ Class B (For Scott transformers specifically for storage battery systems, please refer to SCOTT System).

Scott transformers (dry type Scott transformers) TBS series Class B (Japanese domestic only type) A Scott transformer is used to take a considerable capacity single-phase load from a three-phase circuit and convert it into a balanced load in a three-phase circuit via transformer wiring. It is most used in single-phase electric furnaces and emergency power supplies. ◇Advantages: Balanced load can be applied to the three phases on the input side. ◇Issues: The load side (single-phase circuit) must be split into two circuits. However, the two circuits on the load side need not be balanced if the rated current is less than or equal to the rated current. ■Standard : JEC-2200 ■Capacity: 1kVA to 30kVA ■Voltage: Please specify the necessary voltage for the primary side (P) and secondary side (S). *For Scott transformers dedicated to storage battery systems for BCP measures, etc., please refer to SCOTT System (Class H, dry, in waterproof case, with breaker box).

Amorphous Scott Connection Transformer (Patent Pending)

By using an amorphous core, we have reduced no-load loss to about 1/4 to 1/6 of conventional products, achieving the highest efficiency in energy-saving effects.

When using amorphous alloy strips for iron cores, compared to magnetic materials such as silicon steel sheets with crystalline structures, the rotation of atoms becomes easier when the magnetic flux changes, resulting in reduced hysteresis loss (loss during magnetic flux passage). Additionally, due to the thinner plate thickness, eddy current losses are also minimized. Therefore, amorphous iron cores reduce iron loss compared to conventional silicon steel plate iron cores. Transformer losses can be broadly categorized into two types: "no-load loss," which occurs regardless of the load, and "load loss," which varies with the load current. No-load loss primarily refers to iron loss occurring in the iron core. Load loss, known as copper loss, is due to the resistance of the transformer windings caused by load current. Amorphous transformers focus on minimizing no-load loss among these losses. Since transformers are long-lasting products, reducing no-load loss can lead to significant energy-saving effects.

Ideal for emergency power supply! Amorphous core Scott-connected transformer.

Reduce no-load losses in Scott-connected transformers, contributing to energy savings and CO2 reduction!

The "Amorphous Scott Connection Transformer" is used to convert three-phase AC power into single-phase AC power while minimizing the no-load loss (standby loss) of the Scott connection transformer, contributing to energy savings and CO2 reduction, particularly demonstrating its effectiveness in emergency power supplies. Conventional Scott connection transformers were made with silicon steel cores, but Jibu Electric has utilized amorphous alloy for the core, reducing no-load losses to about 1/4 to 1/6. The importance of emergency power supplies (generators) has significantly increased in factories, office buildings, and hospitals in case of emergencies. To simultaneously extract single-phase and three-phase power, a Scott connection transformer is necessary, and the Amorphous Scott Connection Transformer reduces no-load loss (standby loss) to 1/4 to 1/6. This allows for reduced generation costs when emergency power is needed, and when converted to electricity charges, it can be reduced to about half compared to conventional products.
